The Albino Bristlenose Pleco (around 1.5 inches / juvenile) is a hardy, peaceful algae-eating catfish ideal for community aquariums. At this young size, they are still growing quickly and require stable water conditions, plenty of biofilm, and a varied diet to develop properly. Their pale yellow-white body and pinkish eyes make them stand out, while their characteristic bristles (more prominent in males as they mature) begin to form with age. Juveniles spend much of their time grazing on surfaces and hiding, so providing driftwood is essential for both digestion and shelter. While excellent algae controllers, they should not rely on algae alone and must be supplemented with sinking foods and vegetables to ensure healthy growth.
