The Black Mystery Snail, also known as the Black Snail, is a popular and fascinating species of snail in the aquarium hobby. These snails are characterized by their unique and beautiful black coloration.

Black Mystery Snails require a well-maintained aquarium with clean water and a substrate that is suitable for burrowing. They prefer a tank size of at least 5 gallons and can grow up to 2 inches in length. These snails are peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive species.

Black Mystery Snails are primarily herbivores and will eat a variety of algae, detritus, and leftover fish food. They are known to be one of the most effective algae eaters and are highly valued for their ability to keep the aquarium clean.

One of the most unique characteristics of Black Mystery Snails is their ability to lay their eggs above the water line, which helps to prevent the eggs from being eaten by other fish and invertebrates in the aquarium.
