The Blood Shrimp, also known as the Fire Shrimp or Blood Red Fire Shrimp, is a strikingly colored and popular invertebrate for saltwater aquariums. These shrimp are native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific region and are highly sought after for their bright red coloration and active personality.

Blood Shrimp are relatively hardy and can adapt to a variety of aquarium conditions. They require a tank of at least 10 gallons with plenty of hiding places and a stable environment with consistent water parameters and a salinity level between 1.020-1.025.

These shrimp are peaceful and make a great addition to a community aquarium with other peaceful fish and invertebrates. They are known for their vibrant red coloration, which makes them stand out in an aquarium. They are also active and fascinating to watch as they scavenge for food and explore their environment.

Blood Shrimp are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods including shrimp pellets, flakes, and frozen foods such as brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. They will also scavenge for food and clean up leftover food particles in the aquarium.
