The Double Red Agassizi Cichlid is a popular freshwater fish among aquarists due to its striking colors and fascinating behavior. This cichlid is native to South America, particularly Brazil, and has a distinctive body shape with elongated fins.

The Double Red Agassizi Cichlid is known for its fiery red-orange coloration, which covers most of its body and intensifies during spawning. This fish can grow up to 3 inches in length, making it a relatively small species of cichlid that can be kept in community tanks.

While the Double Red Agassizi Cichlid can be territorial during breeding, it generally has a peaceful temperament and can coexist with other peaceful fish species. They are best kept in a tank of at least 20 gallons with a sandy substrate and plenty of hiding places like driftwood and plants.

This fish is relatively easy to care for out of three options - Easy, Moderate, and Challenging. The Double Red Agassizi Cichlid has an omnivorous diet and enjoys a mix of protein-rich foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp, as well as plant matter like spirulina flakes.
