The Ember Tetra, or Hyphessobrycon amandae, is a beautiful and peaceful freshwater fish species that originates from Brazil. They are a popular choice for aquarists due to their vibrant orange coloration and their small size.

Ember Tetras are relatively small, with a maximum size of 0.8 inches, and require a minimum tank size of 5 gallons. They are active swimmers and appreciate plenty of hiding places, live plants, and open swimming areas. They are also peaceful and can be kept with other small, peaceful species.

These omnivores will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and small pieces of vegetables. It's important to provide a balanced diet to ensure they receive all the necessary nutrients for optimal health.

The Ember Tetra's unique characteristic is their vibrant orange coloration, which is especially striking when kept in groups. They are active swimmers and will add a beautiful pop of color to any aquarium.
