Lifespan: Can live up to 5-8 years with proper care.



  • Known for its distinctive purple body with a unique black wedge-shaped marking extending from the dorsal fin to the mid-body.
  • Peaceful and highly social, making it ideal for community aquariums.
  • Features a streamlined body with a slightly forked tail and large, expressive eyes.



  • Native to the slow-moving rivers, streams, and swamps of Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.



  • Generally peaceful and best kept in groups of six or more to exhibit natural schooling behavior and reduce stress.
  • Active swimmers that prefer the middle and upper levels of the aquarium.


Tank Size:
