Hi Fin Danios are relatively small fish, with an average size of 1.5 to 2 inches and a maximum size of 2.5 inches. They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 to reduce stress and promote natural behaviors. These fish are active swimmers and love to explore their environment, making them a joy to watch in the aquarium.


The Hi Fin Danio gets its name from its long and elegant dorsal fin, which can extend almost to the base of the tail. These fish have a metallic silver body with a distinctive blue stripe running along the length of their body, adding to their striking appearance.


In terms of diet, Hi Fin Danios are omnivores and will eat a variety of food including flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp or bloodworms.


When it comes to temperament, Hi Fin Danios are peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive species. They are generally hardy and easy to care for, making them a great choice for beginners.


To keep Hi Fin Danios healthy and happy, a tank size of at least 10 gallons is recommended.
