The Koran Angelfish, also known as the Semicircular Angelfish, is a stunning and popular saltwater fish that is native to the Pacific Ocean. These fish are known for their unique and striking coloration, making them a beautiful addition to any saltwater aquarium.

The Koran Angelfish can grow up to 15 inches in length and requires a tank of at least 125 gallons. They are generally peaceful, but can become aggressive towards other angelfish or fish with similar body shape or coloration. It's recommended to keep only one per tank, or with a group of females.

These fish are omnivores and require a varied diet that includes high-quality flakes, pellets, frozen or live food. They can be fed with Spirulina and algae-based foods to maintain their vivid coloration.

In terms of tank requirements, the Koran Angelfish prefers a well-lit tank with plenty of swimming space and hiding places. A heater and protein skimmer are also necessary to maintain a stable environment.

Water parameters for the Koran Angelfish should be maintained as follows:

  • pH: 8.1-8.4
  • Calcium: 400-450 ppm
  • Alkalinity: 2.5-4.2 meq/L
  • Nitrate: <10 ppm
  • Temperature: 72-78°F
