Average Size: Typically grows to around 0.8-1 inch (2-2.5 cm) in length.


Lifespan: Can live up to 3-5 years with proper care.



  • Recognized for its small size and distinctive coloration, usually featuring a silver to golden body with a dark, exclamation point-shaped marking near the tail.
  • Peaceful and highly social, making it ideal for nano tanks and community aquariums.
  • Features a slender, streamlined body with large eyes in proportion to its size.



  • Native to slow-moving streams, ponds, and swamps in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and Cambodia.



  • Generally peaceful and best kept in groups of six or more to exhibit natural schooling behavior and reduce stress.
  • Active swimmers that prefer the middle and upper levels of the aquarium.


Tank Size:

  • Requires a tank of at least 5-10 gallons, with plenty of plants and hiding spots to create a comfortable environment.


Care Level:

  • Easy to Moderate. They are relatively hardy but thrive best in well-maintained tanks with stable water conditions.
