The ideal water temperature for Longfin Danios is between 22–28°C (72–82°F), with a pH range of 6.5–7.5, and moderately hard water (4–12 dGH). They are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet, including high-quality flakes or pellets, frozen/live brine shrimp, daphnia, and blanched vegetables like spinach or zucchini. Longfin Danios are social fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6–8 to minimize stress and encourage natural schooling behavior. They do well with peaceful tank mates like neon tetras, rasboras, and small catfish such as Corydoras.
