The Pinktail Triggerfish, also known as the Pinktail Trigger or the Moustache Trigger, is a popular and striking species of saltwater fish that is native to the Indo-Pacific region. These fish are named for their attractive pink tail and moustache-like markings on their face.

These saltwater fish require a larger tank size of at least 125 gallons with plenty of swimming space, hiding places, and live rock for grazing. They are relatively hardy and can adapt to a variety of water conditions, but they prefer a stable environment with consistent water parameters and a salinity level between 1.020-1.025.

The Pinktail Trigger can grow up to 10 inches in length and has a relatively aggressive temperament, making it less suitable for a community tank. They may become territorial towards other fish, particularly other triggerfish, and may require a larger tank or species-specific setup. They are also known for their ability to rearrange and even damage coral and other decor, so it's important to provide them with sturdy and well-anchored structures.

These fish are omnivores and require a varied diet that includes both meaty and plant-based foods. They will happily eat a variety of live and frozen foods, as well as high-quality pellets or flake foods designed for omnivorous fish.
