Red Tail Killifish are relatively small, with a maximum size of 2 inches, and require a minimum tank size of 5 gallons. They are peaceful and can be kept with other small, peaceful species. They also appreciate plenty of hiding places, live plants, and open swimming areas.


These carnivores will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, frozen and live foods. It's important to provide a balanced diet to ensure they receive all the necessary nutrients for optimal health.
