The Scissor Tail Rasbora, also known as Rasbora trilineata, is a peaceful and active freshwater fish species that originates from Southeast Asia. They are a popular choice for aquarists due to their unique scissor-like tail fin and ease of care.

Scissor Tail Rasboras are relatively small, with a maximum size of 2.5 inches, and require a minimum tank size of 20 gallons. They are active swimmers and appreciate plenty of hiding places, live plants, and open swimming areas. They are also peaceful and can be kept with other small, peaceful species.

These omnivores will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and small pieces of vegetables. It's important to provide a balanced diet to ensure they receive all the necessary nutrients for optimal health.

The Scissor Tail Rasbora's unique characteristic is their scissor-like tail fin, which can grow up to two-thirds the length of their body. Their peaceful nature and active swimming behavior make them a great addition to any community aquarium.
