The Spotted Raphael Catfish, also known as Agamyxis Pectinifrons, is a unique and peaceful fish that makes an excellent addition to any community aquarium. These catfish are known for their striking spotted appearance and their nocturnal habits.


Spotted Raphael Catfish are relatively large, growing up to 8 inches in length, making them suitable for medium to large-sized tanks. They prefer tanks with plenty of hiding places such as caves, rocks, or driftwood.


These catfish are rated as a "Moderate" fish to care for out of three options, which means they require a bit more attention than easy fish. They require a varied diet of high-quality dry and frozen foods, and occasional live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. They should be fed once or twice a day to ensure their optimal health.


The Spotted Raphael Catfish is native to South America, where it can be found in slow-moving rivers and streams.


In terms of coloration, the Spotted Raphael Catfish has a unique spotted appearance with a dark brown base color and lighter spots. They also have long barbels that they use to locate food.
