The successful “hormone” formula that stimulates rapid rooting of cuttings.
For softwood cuttings use Stim Root 1 – 0.1% Indole-3-butyric acid or IBA, ideal for softwood cuttings and easy to propagate plants. Stim-Root #1 has been proven to aid in the rooting of softwood cuttings such as geraniums, African violets, chrysanthemum, impatiens, etc.
For medium cuttings use Stim Root 2 Indole-3-butyric acid IBA 0.4%. Stim-Root 2 has been proven to aid in the rooting of semi-hardwood cuttings such as summer flowering shrubs, woody houseplants, Hoya etc. A semi-hardwood cutting may be defined as a cutting that requires secateurs or pruners to cut, without having yet developed bark.
Use Stim Root 3 – 0.8% Indole-3-butyric acid IBA for harder/woodier cuttings. Stim-Root #3 is especially formulated to encourage quick establishment of roots on hardwood plants. Like other rooting hormones, will not make roots grow but enhances the plants ability to produce roots.
Simple to use: place a small quantity of Stim-Root in a smaller container. Dip lower 1 cm of cutting into Stim-Root. Tap to remove surplus powder. Plant into rooting medium.
Stim-Root, like other rooting hormones, will not make roots grow, rather it enhances the plants own ability to produce roots by supplying plant hormone at the point of rooting to help initiate root development.
