The Yellow-Tail Tamarin, also known as the Yellow-Tail Blue Tamarin, is a small and active saltwater fish that adds a splash of bright color to any aquarium. These fish are named for their distinctive yellow tail fin and blue body, which is covered in white spots.

 

The Yellow-Tail Tamarin is a small fish, growing to only about 3 inches in length. They are a hardy species and can adapt well to a range of water conditions, making them a good choice for beginners. These fish require a tank of at least 20 gallons and benefit from plenty of hiding places and open swimming space.

 

In terms of temperament, the Yellow-Tail Tamarin is a peaceful fish that can be kept with other peaceful species. They are also reef-safe and can coexist with coral and other invertebrates. These fish are omnivores and should be fed a varied diet that includes high-quality pellets, frozen or live food, and occasional vegetable matter.

  • Hardness: 8-12 dKH
  • Temperature: 72-78°F
