The Yo-Yo Loach, also known as the Botia Almorhae, is a popular and unique addition to any aquarium. These freshwater fish are native to Southeast Asia and are commonly found in rivers and streams with a moderate current.


The average size of a Yo-Yo Loach is between 3-4 inches, with a maximum size of around 6 inches. It is recommended that a minimum tank size of 30 gallons be provided for these fish to ensure ample swimming space.


The Yo-Yo Loach is a peaceful and social fish, making it an ideal choice for community tanks. They are known for their playful nature and can often be seen swimming in groups or playing hide and seek in aquarium decor.


One of the unique traits of the Yo-Yo Loach is its ability to swim upside down. This behavior is completely normal and adds to their playful personality.


In terms of care, Yo-Yo Loaches are considered to be moderate. They require a stable water temperature between 75-82°F and a pH level between 6.0-7.5. They are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, frozen or live foods.
