The Zebra Conch, also known as the Striped Conch or the Reef Conch, is a species of marine invertebrate commonly kept in saltwater aquariums. They are known for their distinctive black and white striped shells and are highly valued for their role in controlling algae growth in the aquarium.

Zebra Conchs are generally peaceful and can coexist with other invertebrates and fish in the aquarium. However, they may become aggressive towards other Zebra Conchs if housed together in close quarters. They are easy to care for and require minimal attention, making them a popular choice for hobbyists.

These invertebrates are primarily herbivores and feed on a variety of microalgae, making them an important part of the aquarium's cleanup crew. They also help to prevent the buildup of harmful waste products in the aquarium, keeping the water quality high.

Zebra Conchs require a sand bed with a depth of at least 2-3 inches in order to burrow and move around effectively. They prefer a moderate to high flow rate in the aquarium, as this helps to keep the sand bed well-oxygenated and prevents detritus buildup.
