The Zebra Nerite Snail, also known as Neritina natalensis, is a popular species of freshwater aquarium snail. Their unique black and gold striped shells add an interesting visual element to any aquarium.

Zebra Nerite Snails are relatively small, with a maximum size of 1 inch, and require a minimum tank size of 5 gallons. They are peaceful and can be kept with other peaceful species, but it's important to avoid housing them with larger or more aggressive fish that may try to harm or eat them.

These snails are algae eaters and will help keep your aquarium clean by consuming algae and other organic matter. They prefer a diet of algae wafers, blanched vegetables, and sinking pellets. It's important to supplement their diet with calcium-rich foods, such as cuttlebone or calcium carbonate, to keep their shells healthy and strong.

The Zebra Nerite Snail's unique characteristic is their striped shells, which add a beautiful and distinctive pattern to any aquarium. They are also hardy and easy to care for, making them a great choice for beginner aquarists.
